Elizabeth Studwell, Psy.D., Gerente de Servicios de Salud Mental, sobre su trabajo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 quisiste trabajar en Modern Family Center?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Espec\u00edficamente quer\u00eda trabajar en Modern Family Center porque creo firmemente en la libertad y la aceptaci\u00f3n de tener y ser parte de una &quot;Familia Moderna&quot;. Quiero brindar apoyo a personas y familias que se sienten diferentes a la norma. Siento mucha pasi\u00f3n por la adopci\u00f3n y siento que a menudo se necesita m\u00e1s fuerza para ser parte de una estructura familiar \u00fanica, cualquiera que sea. Todos los ni\u00f1os merecen una familia y todas las familias merecen ser felices y saludables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es la parte m\u00e1s desafiante de su trabajo?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La parte m\u00e1s desafiante de mi trabajo es el trabajo de consulta que realizo para agencias de cuidado de crianza. Ayudo a apoyar a ni\u00f1os cuyos padres no han podido satisfacer plenamente sus necesidades.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Describe tu trabajo en 3 palabras.<\/strong><br \/>\nDin\u00e1mico, gratificante, humillante<\/p>\n<p><strong>Describe tu experiencia en asesoramiento en salud mental.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Complet\u00e9 mi doctorado en psicolog\u00eda cl\u00ednica en la Escuela de Psicolog\u00eda Profesional de Chicago y me dediqu\u00e9 a brindar servicios de salud mental en una variedad de entornos durante casi diez a\u00f1os. He trabajado como voluntaria y en una instituci\u00f3n residencial en Colombia preparando ni\u00f1os para adopci\u00f3n. He brindado capacitaci\u00f3n, asesoramiento y consultor\u00eda, as\u00ed como evaluaci\u00f3n psicol\u00f3gica en una variedad de entornos, incluidos hospitales psiqui\u00e1tricos para pacientes internados, cl\u00ednicas para pacientes ambulatorios, escuelas diurnas de conducta y agencias de cuidado de crianza.
