Me despierto todos los d\u00edas con la determinaci\u00f3n de escaparme y escribir sobre el progreso de Kurhula: las letras que est\u00e1 aprendiendo, los kilos que est\u00e1 ganando, los amigos que est\u00e1 haciendo y todas las dem\u00e1s formas en las que est\u00e1 prosperando despu\u00e9s de siete meses en casa. Pero \u00faltimamente, para cuando sus huevos del desayuno ya han salido de la sart\u00e9n, por lo general ya ha iniciado al menos una lucha de poder \u00e9pica. A pesar de todo el progreso que ha logrado (o, tal vez, tal vez debido a todo el progreso), hemos entrado en una fase dif\u00edcil en la que Kurhula pone a prueba sus l\u00edmites. Al final de cada d\u00eda, generalmente opto por comer chocolate y abrazar a mi cachorro en el sof\u00e1 en lugar de escribir una publicaci\u00f3n en el blog sobre lo bien que estamos todos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00daltimamente me he estado cuestionando mucho, pregunt\u00e1ndome si estoy haciendo bien todo esto de la \u201cmaternidad\u201d. Mientras me siento en el pasillo frente a su puerta abierta y la veo llorar en su cama por tercera vez en un d\u00eda, no puedo evitar preguntarme si estoy haciendo lo correcto por ella. Pero luego, inevitablemente, sus sollozos siempre se convierten en un gemido, y poco despu\u00e9s, generalmente la escucho susurrar: \u201cMam\u00e1, lo siento. Me siento mal\u2026\u201d. Es entonces cuando abro mis brazos y la recibo en mi regazo, y ambas nos tomamos un minuto para respirar el uno por el otro nuevamente. As\u00ed es como hemos terminado la mayor\u00eda de los d\u00edas de este mes. Y aunque es duro y agotador, s\u00e9 que es lo que ella necesita ahora mismo. Nos est\u00e1 poniendo a prueba para asegurarse de que decimos lo que queremos decir, para averiguar si realmente vamos a mantenerla a salvo y si realmente estaremos aqu\u00ed para siempre, pase lo que pase. Anoche asinti\u00f3 con la cabeza enf\u00e1ticamente y dijo: \u201cMam\u00e1, todav\u00eda me amas incluso cuando tomo decisiones de grandes, GRANDES consecuencias\u201d. Y aunque algunos d\u00edas son m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles que otros, estoy muy orgullosa de nuestra peque\u00f1a familia y de las formas en que estamos creciendo juntos. Hablando de crecimiento, \u00a1parece que nuestra peque\u00f1a beb\u00e9 realmente se ha convertido en una ni\u00f1a! Ha ganado 4 libras y crecido 3 pulgadas desde que lleg\u00f3 a casa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Todav\u00eda ruega que la lleven en el Ergo (o \u201cla bolsa\u201d, como ella lo llama), pero ahora Kurhula tiene una colecci\u00f3n de patinetes y bicicletas en las que le gusta pasear durante los paseos familiares. Ama a sus mascotas y las llena de besos y abrazos durante todo el d\u00eda. Y cuando visitamos a su m\u00e9dico hoy para sacarle sangre (que siempre ha terminado en l\u00e1grimas y gritos en el pasado), Kurhula se puso tranquilamente los auriculares, subi\u00f3 el volumen de su canci\u00f3n favorita de Shakira y apret\u00f3 los dientes mientras la enfermera le insertaba la aguja en el brazo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spencestaging.berrycreativellc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/SA-3.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Me r\u00edo cuando pienso en nuestras primeras impresiones de Kurhula, cuando todo lo que ten\u00edamos para guiarnos eran sus fotos de referencia y algunos videos. Cre\u00edamos que era delicada. Realmente lo cre\u00edamos. No ten\u00edamos idea de lo espectacular que ser\u00eda. <\/strong>Cualquiera que conozca a Kurhula se dar\u00e1 cuenta r\u00e1pidamente de que no hay nada fr\u00e1gil en nuestra chica. De hecho, ella define la palabra como &quot;feroz&quot;.
